Kailash (6714 m) - one of the popular mountain peak of Tibet, which is
also known by the name of Tise, Kailash or Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the
Snows) has since time immemorial been celebrated in many eastern
cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis-mundi. Mt.Meru (Kailash) is sacred to
the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Jains, & the Bonpos, taken as the center
of the physical & metaphysical universe. For the Hindus, the mountain
represents the seat of Shiva. For the Buddhists, a terrestrial
projection of the cosmic mandala of Dyani Buddhas & Bodhisattvas....the
Wheel of Life.
For the devout pilgrim a visit to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarovar
forms the ultimate realization of their spiritual pursuit. And for the
adventure-lovers it offers rugged beauty, remoteness and solitude. The
May tour to Kailash during the annual gives the opportunity to face
Buddhist festival of Saga Dawa while most of the other trips are planned
to arrive at Mt. Kailash during the full moon period to give all

The tour offers rigorous overland driving, trekking and camping,
passing the remote and wild western Tibet, in altitudes between
2,745m/9,000ft and 4,880m / 16,000ft and hiking to a maximum of 5600m /
18,400ft.

Day 01 |
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu
(1350m) and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel, inclusive
of dinner.

Day 02 |
City tour including Pashupatinath temple (Puja Ceremony in the
morning), Boudhanath, Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Overnight at hotel, inclusive of lunch, dinner and breakfast.

Day 03 |
Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Nepal/China Friendship Bridge
and drive to Nyalam (3750m).
Total distance: 125 km from Kathmandu to
Nyalam.
Approximate driving: 5 hrs.
Overnight at Guesthouse, inclusive of lunch and dinner with
tea, coffee which is prepared by our expert cook and helpers.

Acclimatization day at Nyalam. Overnight at same Guesthouse,
inclusive of lunch and dinner with tea, coffee which is
prepared by our expert cook and helpers.

Day 05 |
Drive to Saga (4450m) via Lalung La Pass (5050m).
Total distance: 250 km.
Approximate driving: 8 hrs.
Overnight Guesthouse or tented camp, inclusive of full board
meal.

Day 06 |
Drive to Paryang (4610m).
Total distance: 250 km.
Approximate driving: 7 hrs.
Overnight Guesthouse or tented camp, inclusive of full board

Drive to Manasarovar (4560m).
Total distance: 280 km.
Approximate driving: 8 hrs.
Overnight at tented camp or Guesthouse near Chiu Gompa.

In the morning take a holy bath in Manasarovar; Puja ceremony,
Manosarovar Lake Parikrama by jeep and proceed to Darchen

Trek to Derapuk (5000m). Overnight at tented camp, inclusive

Trek over Dolma La Pass (5600m.) and trek down to Zudulpuk
(4800m). Overnight at tented camp, inclusive of full board
meal.

Day 11 |
Trek to near Darchen, and drive to Manasarovar. Overnight at
tented camp, inclusive of full board meal.

Day 12 |
Drive to Paryang. Overnight at Guesthouse or tented camp,
inclusive of full board meal.

Day 13 |
Drive to Saga. Overnight at Guesthouse or tented camp,
inclusive of full board meal.

Drive to Nyalam. Overnight at Guesthouse, inclusive of full

Drive to Friendship Bridge and Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel,
