NEPAL
Nepal is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of bio-diversity due to its unique geographical position and altitudinal variation. The elevation of country ranges from 60m at sea level to the highest point on earth, Mount Everest at 8848m. Nepal is a magical landlocked kingdom sheltered by the huge range of the mountains. It is a small and an independent kingdom, it is situated in South Asia.

 

Geography: 

Situated between China in the north and India in the south.

Area: 

147,181 Sq. Km.

Extent: 

About 885km long & 193km broad.

Latitude:

26° 22' and 30° 27' North.

Longitude:

80° 4' and 88° 12' East.

Capital:

Kathmandu 

People:

Over 40 Ethnic Groups & 70 Spoken Languages.

Political-System:

Multiparty Democracy with Constitutional Monarch.

Weather:

Climate ranges from Tropical in the low lands to Arctic in higher altitudes.

Season: 

Nepal has a four major seasons: Winter (December-February), Spring (March-May), Summer (June-Aug), Autumn (Sept-Nov).

Nepal can be visited the whole round year. 

Monsoon: 

Mostly rains at night, making the following days crispy clean and fresh. Most of the northern belt of the Trans-Himalayan zone is rain-shadowed and ideal for trekking.

Time: 

Nepal time is 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of GMT.

Visa: 

A visa is required to enter Nepal except for SAARC(India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Bhutan, Maldives) countries and Chinese   nationals. One can get a visa at the Royal Nepalese Embassy or Consulate or at the airport upon arrival.

 

Single entry tourist visa fee: US$30 for 60 days.

 

Multiple entry tourist visa fee: US$80 for 60 days.

 

2nd entry tourist visa fee: US$30 for 30 days.
